swim time...

i took all the kids swimming the other day at AUNT TERRI'S pool. jordyn had not been swimming before. it was their first time this summer, and her first time ever. she was not excited to be in the pool at first...it took a while, but she warmed up to it. she would climb in and out at the steps after a while. we were in for 2 hours and for the last hourish she played on the deck watching but getting in randomly.



jack wasn't so sure about it either. but he warmed up to it and swam around alone in his elmo ring (and arm floaties).



jacob was an old pro. last year it took him a time or two to want to get in without being held. but not this year. he was set and ready. still not wanting to go under water though. but he did twice. the first time when uncle tim threw him in the air and let him go under. i forget why he did that, but i'm sure jacob deserved it. needless to say, jacob did NOT like this. but he forgave him rather quickly.




then the other time he was leaning over the side reaching for something, and fell in on his own. remember...arm floaties are required at all times, so he floated right back up. i'm guessing it was more like a sommersalt. i didn't see it...but i'm sure this is what happened. i wish i would have seen it...i'm pretty sure it was funny...once my heart would get back in my chest i would think so, anyway.
