but it was an ugly start. AUNT TERRI'S back is hurting her so much that her incisions are bothering her at all. they decided to flush her kidneys, thinking this could be causing her back pain. but really, what it most likely is, is that she's not up and walking as much as normal. but walking hurts her back, because she's been down for a while. so...it's a catch22. too much walking hurts her back. but by not walking, it hurts her back. the good news is that her doctor found a good medicine combination that works to ease the pain considerably.
so by the time i got down there to visit, she was in good spirits, looked really good and seemed very pleased. as a matter of fact, she told me that the doctor is talking about her going home on wednesday!!! i believe she said that he's never had a patient leave at 6 days post-op. but since every medicine she's on now is taken orally, he thinks she'll recover better at home, in her own bed. (she's never slept well in any other bed than her own). so that is, of course, AWESOME news. so...let's pray that her body does what it needs to do to get her out of there on wednesday.
also, after receving a roommate,who is in considerable pain, uncle tim went down to talk to someone. the poor lady just kept moaning and moaning. there was no way that AUNT TERRI was going to get any sleep with that. so...uncle tim's complaining worked. she's being moved to a private room this evening. so the remainder of her nights there will be without a roommate for sure! YEAH!!!!
