i went to go get her medicines for her, and when i stopped by her house first, she looked so bad. i felt so bad for her. i was so worried that she shouldn't have come home from the hospital. maybe it was too early.
but two hours later...she had gotten up, eaten a little bit of sandwich, walked around her court outside!!!! and was walking around the house like it was nothing. man....the difference a couple oxycodone can make!!! i came in the house to make my delivery...and there she was, walking down the hall. sat in a kitchen chair to talk to me, like it was any other day.
it just makes my heart so happy. i can't even explain it. seeing her better yesterday in the hospital was nothing compared to tonight. we got to sit and talk on the couches, just like nothing. being a selfish person, i was happy to have her to myself again. we talked about her surgery, her experience and how she has so many people around her that love and support her and would do anything for her. we talked about a lot more...but you know...it was just so nice to sit and talk with her.
we talked about how tough other people are and how they can fight things they have and maintain such a wonderful positive attitude and always seem to care more about others. but you know what....she's one of them. i know some very strong people...but i have two friends that are the absolute strongest women alive. AUNT TERRI is one and the other...well, she knows who she is (but i don't think she reads the blog too much).
i can't imagine going through what she has just in the last few weeks. obviously as one of my sisters and dearest friends, i'm going through it on a different level and it's terrified me. but i just can't imagine what it's been like to be in her shoes. but you know what...i've never seen anyone walk so well in them!
thanks for being the fighter that you are AUNT TERRI. thanks for obeying doctor's orders and thank you for healing yourself the proper way. now please...please...don't try to do things you're not supposed to because you think no one's looking...
because someone always is:
