dentist...

i took the boys to see the dentist for the first time today (yesterday, by the time this posts). here are some snapshots (from my phone because dummy mommy forgot to take the camera...but in my defense i had 4 kids with me and i was just thankful i was able to make my appointment).

they were AWESOME! i was so worried that they would be scared, but the hardest part was getting jacob to believe that nothing bad would happen there so that he would get into the car willingly. he was so worried about getting shots in his mouth.

instead, they let them play with the squirter (jack squirted so much water on the floor), and the suction hose (jacob loved this one...he wouldn't let the dental hygenist take it out of his mouth).

jack had a brown spot on one of his front teeth that i was concerned about. it turns out it was the start of a cavity. they were able to scrape it out and put some sealant on it and it should be fine.

some of my pictures look like they were in pain or extreme discomfort...but it just must have been the timing of the pictures...because they did GREAT! i'm so proud of my boys. they waited patiently, listened well and were SOOOOO good. they even got to pick out treats afterward. jacob picked out some Ben10 aliens (his newest thing) and jack just wanted some candy (don't tell the dentist).
