some old pics i ran across...

these are some pictures that i just ran across on my laptop tonight. they are from june 2006. daddy, jacob and i took a trip to the lake of the ozarks and had a 3 bedroom condo to stay at. so we invited friends down for the weekend. steve and angie came down to join us for a couple/few days and so did terri and tim. i was about 20 weeks pregnant with jack at the time and jacob was just a month past his 2nd birthday...what a great vacation we had! and so many memories.

• we played put-put
• swam at the pool A LOT
• he drove a boat
• he later fell asleep on the same boat in my arms
• we visited TanTarA to see some friends from daddy's work and swam at their pool
• daddy kept pulling me underwater when he took me down the waterslide (but mommy didn't)
• a friend of daddy's fell off the boat when we docked at TanTarA. it may or may not have been alcohol induced
• he started sleeping in a big boy bed from this trip on
• we tried to see Over the Hedge at the theater. this was jacob's 2nd attempt at a movie (1st was Curios George). he only made it about 1/2 way through...then mommy broke out the mini-dvd player and played elmo with headphones in order to finish our movie (good thinking on my part)
• our car was SOOOO packed full of toys...the entire back of the explorer...packed!
• i believe that steve and angie had one more piece of paperwork to complete, or obtain, in order to send off their adoption requests that resulted in gabbie....just a few months later!!!!

good times. great friends. wonderful memories.
