1st example-jack was touching my sewing machine and got very close to the needle. i told him that this would hurt, that it's sharp. later that day when he and jordyn were near the sewing machine she was touching all over it (but not the needle) and he was nearly hyperventilating and yelling, "sissy...sissy...sissy's gonna get hurt! no sissy!!! NOOOOO!!!!!" he didn't calm down until i moved her away from the machine.
2nd example-yesterday the kids were at the top of the stairs while i was talking to someone at the door. jordyn seemed to be pushing her head against the railings and i was worried that she would pop her head through and get stuck. so i told her to stop so she didn't get her head stuck. she did it again, and again jack nearly lost it, "NOOOO sissy! you're gonna get stuck. mommy make her stop! stop stop!!!"
3rd example-today we were at the park and we crossed over a little bridge to take a walk through the wooded area. on our way back, jordyn was a little ahead of us because jacob wanted me to stop and see something. jordyn kept going (still near me) and jack was freaking out because she was headed toward the bridge without us. "mommy....HOLD HER! get her! get her! sissy, NO! don't fall in!!!!!"
then now we're home and he just hit her in the face. ahhhh....the love!
