giddy as a school girl...

i started my EMT class tonight and i'm just giddy about it. i'm so excited to be in school again. i'm completely excited that i don't have to take english, math and social studies/history classes in order to be an EMT. i never did quite get all that. and i never did well in those classes. i would only do really good in the classes geared toward a degree. so i'm completely excited about school.

i'm so going to be the teacher's pet, too. we have BLS/CPR certification at the end of the month and my instructor mentioned that if they could get enough instructors, it might not last all day. so i volunteered my dear husband (he was just recently certified to teach it). kiss butt #1.

there were a couple times in class when the instructor raised a question...and i was the first, if not only, person to answer. kiss butt #'s 2 and 3.

connected with him on a child related level. he has a young boy who likes transformers (we watched a transformer cartoon before class started. i shared with him that i have a little boy who would be so jealous i was watching transformers. #6

seriously...i AM going to be the favorite in that class if it kills me!!!!

just pray that i get to stay in the class and that i can work out my wrist problems without it interfering. i am SOOOOO excited about this class. i can not wait to get through it and start working. seriously...SOOOO excited. i can't even explain it. i know i'm more excited about my school than jacob is about kindergarten!!!

oh yeah...when i left tonight for school, jack was still asleep. when i walked in, he ran up to me, looked at my pants (navy blue 5.11's), my white shirt, boots (daddy's boots because i don't want to buy my own if i'm not going to stay in the class)....and he said, "you went to school? are those your school pants? you look like daddy."
