well...we started off at brunch with grandma s. that was very good. the children pretty much behaved themselves. i was VERY impressed!!!! they ate well, for the most part, and stayed seated even. way to go kids!!!
then after that we were to meet grandma h. and the rest of the "h" family at a park near jacob's old school (it's his "old" school now because he graduated last week-post to come). however, when we got there, there were "reserved" signs all over the tables. we thought we'd chance it, but it didn't work.
so we went to a different park. i'd like to call it the "crappy" park. if i were a kid, i wouldn't have liked it, but my kids didn't seem to care. so i guess it wasn't so bad after all!!! since we had just gotten finished eating, we weren't really hungry, but the rest of them had kfc. it certainly looked and smelled good...but i restrained myself.
it was kind of a gloomy, miserable day, be we were able to avoid the rain. JUST as we were leaving the park, it started dripping. talk about perfect timing!
