the amazing spiderman!!!

okay...as you know, my friend is battling cancer, once again. she also happens to be my AWESOMEST cake decorator. so...since she is tired from the fight...i took it upon myself to try. well...maybe not just because i was taking it upon myself. maybe it was more of an 'i didn't order a cake QUITE soon enough for a saturday party' problem. though i tell you, it made me step up to the plate!!!

first cake that i baked on thursday night (notice hunk missing?).this cake does not have the measels...it is a "confetti" cake.
worried because some of the cake was stuck in the pan on the first cake, i thought i'd better play it safe and bake another one on friday.(notice the BIG divet in the middle of this cake. it's about an inch deep.)
this is what happened when i tried to get it out of the pan.most of it was STUCK to the inside of the pan.now...i must say that i followed the directions THIS time, and MORE was stuck inside than my 1st attempt!
so i went ahead and put icing on the first cake. i decided after seeing the 2nd cake, that this little "hunk" wouldn't be so badto cover with icing!!! it's no "sweet celebrations" cake...but i think i did A OK!
