evidence...(and our day)

i believe i have made mention of my princess standing up on her own? if not...well, she is!!! and quite often. more and more and more!!! so scary. she's barely 16 pounds!!!!! this is way too fast. anyway...i have been trying for over a week to get a picture of her standing on her own. i have yet to successfully do it. i do however have about 100 pictures of her "almost" standing on her own. every time the camera would flash, she'd grab on to something, sit down, or decide to get closer to me by dropping and crawling. but i finally did it!!! here's proof of my growing baby:




and YES, that's jack in the pumpkin seat. jordyn can still comfortably ride in that (sad isn't it?).

today daddy took jacob to Dave and Busters (aka "ticket place"). jacob decided that he wanted to take his brother as his "guest." he tried to call major and paige, but they couldn't make it. uncle greg ended up going with them and they just had a boys afternoon. two sets of brothers...isn't that cute? they had a blast! jacob was so excited to show me what he'd purchased with his tickets (a gigantic pen, an alien/puzzle and a kazoo). it was a good day out for them. they were gone quite a while and i could tell everyone was tired when they came home. thank goodness...because so am i and i'm ready for bed (though i'm still here updating my blog).

so, since the boys were gone, and jordyn's nap schedule was a little off, i decided to take her to the Mills Mall to walk around and maybe catch a good deal or two. we had a good time...just us girls. people just looked at her and went on and on about how adorable she is. i know she's cute...but do people just say that, or is she that breathtaking? she is to me, all of my children were. but i get stopped so much. it just melts my heart. i dread her growing up!!!!

anyway, all i purchased was a valentine's dress for her (watch for postings of it near V-day) and a pair of Iron Man tennis shoes for jacob. he's outgrowing his Spiderman ones, and he LOVES Iron Man. of course, when i told him i had a suprise for him, and all he got were shoes, his response was, "it would have been better if you would have gotten me a toy." what an ingrate! just kidding!!!! i know he's just a kid...when do they learn to be grateful for the things that they have????? oh well...we'll keep trying. i know they'll all get it eventually!
