toe, that is. it's broken. my poor little baby.
i was playing soccer with jack while jacob was at soccer practice. the lower field was VERY muddy, it was hard to find a small area just to play that had hard mud (that we weren't sinking into). so i was trying to get the ball away from jack and he slid in the mud and somehow, because he didn't move ahead, my foot hit the back of his foot and pulled my itty bitty baby toe away from the foot it belongs on! OWEEEEEEEEEE!
i cursed under my breath, thinking i just stubbed it. but instantly it was black, blue and purple. it was swollen and VERY VERY painful. all i kept thinking about was the walking trip back up the rocky hill (that was at an 45 degree angle), then the grass hill, then across another soccer field, along the other path to the car. i'm wincing just reliving it now!
i iced it as soon as we got home. i iced it for a couple hours (probably not what you're supposed to do, but it numbed the pain).
today i went to the doctor because i was concered i broke below the toe, in my foot. the doctor was concerned about this, too. but no...it's just my little toe. it's broken right at the base. it's not displaced....so i just buddy-tape them together and call back in 4 weeks and let them know if it's not getting any better.
seriously...can i just go a few months without a doctor's appointment or injury????
