Been a while...

okay....so it's been a while. what can i say, kids make you crazy and forget that you have things like this set up!
what's new?
jacob-wow! what a mouth on my sweet little boy! i don't even hear teenages talking to their parents this way. i've decided (since i've exhausted so many other options) that every time he speaks to me meanly, i'm just going to give him a great big hug and tell him how much i love him. i'll let you know if it works
jack-holy cow! he's in to EVERYTHING that he shouldn't be. he's supposed to be wearing a "boot" since he has a toddler's fracture in his left leg. but nothing stops him. he still runs around like a crazy man, jumping off of and over furniture without any regard to what might happen! i'm telling you, i really started to wonder if he could feel pain. then his leg happened. but it only slowed him down for a day!
jordyn-well...she can't get into too much trouble, YET!!! she is however pulling herself by her elbows, and rolling, to get to where she wants to go (which is usually to one of her bubby's toys that she shouldn't have). her favorite toy these days: a ziploc bag with a little air in it. it keeps her entertained for a LONG time. if i can get the video to post, i will and you can see just how much she loves it!

everything else...well, i'm just trying to mentally prepare for surgery in less than 2 weeks. maybe i'll update a lot while i'm laid up and can do nothing else! i'm scared for my children (mostly because -as you mothers know- i feel like i'm the only one that can take care of them). they will be in capable hands...just not mine. so i'm sad for that (though on some of our "rough" days, i can't wait for my surgery date to come). other than this...not much. i think this is enough for our family right now!

on another family's front: my friend abbie went into the hospital this AM to have her twin boys! she's just at 37 weeks pregnant (which is fabulous for twins) and we should say a prayer for her and her babies that everything happens safely!
